San Diego REP Partners with the San Diego Black Artists Collective

We are proud to partner with the San Diego Black Artists Collective for their SAY IT LOUD Juneteenth Festival, beginning June 13. Join us for a weeklong celebration in uplifting the nuances of the Black experience through art. Other partnerships include New Village Arts, La Jolla Playhouse, Moxie Theatre, Diversionary Theatre, and The Old Globe!

We are also thrilled to host our Stay and Play Online Book Club with the festival. We will be reading The Fire Next Time by essayist, playwright, novelist, and poet James Baldwin! He was an impactful voice during the Civil Rights Movement creating critical commentary of the racial and social issues of the nation and society as a whole through the lens of his lived experiences as a gay Black man.
