The long weekend is a perfect opportunity to seize the opportunity of experiencing theatre from around the country! Here are some suggestions from our REP staff.

The Breath Project Festival
The long weekend is a great opportunity to view the performances that were part of the first Breath Project Festival earlier this fall. All 3 festival performances are available to view for free on YouTube, and consist of multiple works from artists of color that 8 minutes and 46 seconds in length.

Non-REP related theatrical events happening over the Thanksgiving weekend:

‘Lessons in Survival’

A Vineyard Theater streaming project re-enacts verbatim interviews with James Baldwin, Toni Morrison and others to explore echoes between the past and the present.

This is a multi-part project. On the theatre’s website you can purchase an all-access pass to view all episodes that have been and will be published for $60. This includes 8 episodes, 4 rehearsals, and 4 community conversations.

One Knight Only

Sir Kenneth Branaugh hosts a quatrain of theatrical Dames and Knights of the realm for an evening of intimate chat, with you as the guests. Featuring Sir Kenneth Branaugh, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Derek Jacobi, Dame Maggie Smith, and Sir Ian McKlellen.
