Refund Policy

All San Diego REP ticket sales are final. The REP does not issue refunds. Exchange opportunities are extended to subscribers only.

Lost Tickets

Replacement tickets are available by calling 619-544-1000. Please have your billing information available when calling.

Replacement tickets are held at Will Call and cannot be mailed.

Student Tickets

Subject to availability, student tickets are offered at a 50% discount for current, full-time students with a valid student ID.

Late Seating

The House Manager will attempt to accommodate late seating at the soonest availability in a way that does not disrupt or distract from the performance.

Child Seating
Only children 5 years and older will be admitted into a San Diego REP production. We recommend looking into the maturity of content for each play, as well as considering your child’s ability to remain still for the duration of the show in making a decision to bring a young child or not. Please feel free to contact our box office if you have any questions or would like any assistance in determining if a specific play might be appropriate for your child.

Additionally, if you would like your child to experience the wonders of theatre, we also recommend checking out our Project Discovery program where we partner with local schools to provide heavily discounted tickets for student matinees. Click here to find out more about that program.

Every individual, even small children, is required to have a ticket to enter the theatre.
Gift Certificates

San Diego REP offers Gift Certificates in any denomination. Call 619.544.1000 or visit our box office for more details.

How can I receive regular information from the REP?
You can ask to be added to our email list. Click here to sign up today!

Does the REP have a dress code?
No, the REP does not have a dress code. Audience members are free to arrive in Armani or Levis.

Do you charge a fee to exchange tickets?
Exchange opportunities are extended to subscribers only. Every subscriber is allowed to make exchange requests at no cost. To learn more about becoming a subscriber, click here.

How late can I exchange my tickets?
Ticket exchanges must be made at least 24 hours prior to the date of the performance printed on your ticket. Please note that exchanges can only be done within the same run of the show of your original tickets.

Why do you need 24 hours' notice?
Time is needed to process your request as well as to re-circulate the seats.

Can I be guaranteed that I will get my same seats?
Unfortunately, the constraints of seating volume do not allow the REP to guarantee seat location. When transacting an exchange, the Box Office staff will do their utmost to find the best seats available, however the constraints of seating volume do not allow the REP to guarantee seat location. You will be contacted if the dates requested have no availability.

Why am I paying more for my exchanged tickets?
The REP's ticket pricing structure varies depending on day and time of performance and seating location. You may be requesting a new show date with the only seating available in a higher pricing structure than your original subscription.

The REP cannot offer a refund for exchanging higher priced tickets for less expensive tickets.

Is there a content advisory for the play I am about to see?
If there is a content advisory, it will be available on the show page of our website and in the pre-show email we send to ticket-holders ahead of your performance.
Due to the nature of the artistic process and live theatre, content advisories may be added during rehearsals or change during a play's run, particularly with new works.
We understand that sensitivities vary from person to person. We want to provide the information audiences need while not ‘spoiling’ the action. If you have any questions about content, age-appropriateness or stage effects like strobe lighting or theatrical fog, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to give you more info.
We encourage you contact Box Office at boxoffice@sdrep.org or 619.544.1000 with any questions, and to ensure you are opted in to receive pre-show communications. When at the theatre, speak to our Front-Of-House team.
