Project Discovery

Internships

Internships are available in all departments by request. Internships are on an as-needed basis and are offered annually. These internships are unpaid and typically last 3 months.

“Interning at San Diego REP was an invaluable experience for assisting with literary management duties. From researching material, creating study guides, and commenting on cold submitted plays, the work was always practical and engaging." -Erica Paulson (former intern)

“At any one time, the REP has several young interns working in their Development, Marketing, Production, and Artistic departments. When I approached the REP for an internship, they designed a cross-departmental experience that would be most fulfilling for me. This personalized touch indicated a care and hospitality at the REP's core. It has been my pleasure and good fortune to work here—a fantastic introduction to professional theatre.” -Kayla Cohen (former intern)

“As Literary Intern, I honed valuable skills in writing and research that I continue to utilize in my future experiences. This internship prepared me for subsequent work with The Old Globe and also the San Diego REP as Assistant Director on My Manana Comes.” –Zane Alcorn (former intern)
